I am in the process of rebuilding the lower unit and impellar, but the prop is stuck tight on the shaft. Any ideas with heat on stainless prop? Also I'm looking to downloading a service manuel for a 84 Mercury 115 inline 6, Anyone Please!!
Or a pulley or steering wheel puller will help ya out. If you don't have access to that then a dead blow hammer and a couple of wood blocks to gently tap it loose from side to side. When you get ready to put it back on use marine grade grease on your prop shaft. I pull my prop every month just to unwind fishing line and such from ruining my seals. I always grease the shaft so the next time it will slide off without effort.
