I've been with T-Mobile prepaid for a few years and they have recently bought out another cell service which actually made it better coverage for out of town areas one area my favorite lake to fish on.

Reason I'm swapping is because I've been buying $25 cards each month that only have 150 minutes worth of talk time, and my phone is starting to get allot of reverb or feed back when I talk making it hard to have a conversation.

I've had Cingular in the past and was happy with it years ago, so I decided sense my mother has Cingular/AT&T and she can add me on to a family plan why not go this route.

Here's a kicker, we went to an AT&T mobile store and the employee that was helping us went to start another contract (sense my mother's contract was up), and he finds out that they were out of the LG VU phones. That isn't all, his manager says "well not only are we out, I don't think we are going to carry them anymore because they are being discontinued".

Now when I got home I got on the internet went to Cingular's website and had a live chat with a sales rep and she says "I have never heard of the LG Vu being discontinued, I can get you one but it would be on back order". I went to another cingular store and this person knew what he was talking about and was willing to put me down on the waiting list for the phone.

After all of that we continued to search the web and my mother found out she could get a discount through her job for the phone she was interested in and the one I am interested in. So we ordered the phone through that website.

Now the main reason I'm posting is I ordered an LG VU model #920 touch screen phone, got the internet, I didn't get the mobile TV because we don't have the service in our area yet can't afford it anyway. I didn't have a choice but to get the internet which I was planning on holding off for a while, but the website I got the phone through would let me opt out on the internet option. I've read allot of "tech" reviews on this phone, but nothing like hearing a review from somebody that owns one (if anybody here owns one). I hear they have more options compared to the Iphone and I hear the phone's reception/speaker is allot better and clearer compared to the Iphone. From what I hear the LG Vu is a very popular phone.

I have found that most of the folks at the cell phone sales office are quick to tell things not so and try every way they can to get you to sign a friggin contract, be careful and dont believe ANYTHING they tell you unless it is in writing.

Sorry for the late reply, been gone all weekend to the lake fishing :) :p, done pretty good.

I got the phone in today and it is killer, I have been surfing the internet off and on all day long with it. Worst thing is the website we got it off of set me up with the wrong area code, Alabama area code but not the right area.

I can surf the internet without much of a problem, still getting use to it.

So far I like it. Allot of the features that I see are similar to the Iphone, but this phone is supposed to have more options on it.
