Imagine my surprise...

Came home tonight and was doing some clean up work. Drive was looking a bit faded so I decided to give it a fresh coat of paint. Low and behold the "do not remove" plug is missing. I just got her back from the mechanic. I'm amazed that he would pull such a bone headed maneuver and pissed that he gave it back to me hoping I wouldn't notice. I want him to fix it but I'm not sure I want him touching anything on my boat anymore.

I woudl call him asap and let him know hge left it out and see what he says.

If you haven't tried to put the boat in gear you may be okay and it is a matter of just putting the screw back in, if you have he may have some work to do.

I would give the guy the benafit of the doubt, noone is perfect, call snd see what he says.

There is a casting plug that is not supposed to be removed. If you unscrew it, the backing plate falls off and the drive has to be removed to retrieve it. F'n idiot

Not a very good mechanic if removed the do not remove plug.

See if you can at least get the drive gasket out of him and fix it yourself.
