I heard about the immigrant protest in the US. How did that blowover? Any tensions? Are people in favor or against immigration?

I'm currently in france.. everyone comes here for a free lunch. It's better not to work because you get free money to live, paid by the workers and tax payers of course. It's the most communist democratic country in the world. People protest anything and everything the government tries to pass to help the economy.

The illegal's aim was to basically do nothing all day to show us how bad off we are without them. They seem to think they are the only ones who do any work around here. It backfired horribly, as all of us white honkeys are in agreement that it was our favorite day all week. Traffic here in L.A. was near zero when it's usually a standstill, and every business I wanted to patronize was open.

100% correct. Dont let the idiot media or the protest organizers confuse the issue.

locomas, we have the same problem here, but it is the illegal aliens that are asking for the free lunch. Pretty bold of them to come here illegally, then demand things.

Ken

It seems some businessess had to close for the day because of it....
Methinks that as an owner I would rethink my hiring practices with regards to ethniticity, whether it was legal or not.....JK

Re: immigrant protest

true, however, not that i support illegals but there are some business that would go under without them but i think its a small price to pay. dont know many people who are legal that would pick fruit for the kind of money they make. Again a small price to pay....

In high school(Norther California) I picked fruit for pocket money. It didnt pay a lot, but it was what was available.

When I stayed with relatives for the summer in West Texas, I baled hay. It didnt pay much either, but it was available.

The jobs I did as a kid dont seem to be available much anymore. Paper routes for a teenager? Nope, adults only. Picking fruit, or baling hay? Nope, adults again, possibly illegals, who knows.

I think a lot of the problem with 'lazy' kids is that there is no opportunity for them to have jobs outside of McDonalds.

Copied from a previous post of mine:

In 1848, the United States completed the conquest of that portion of Mexico
now within the states of California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The initial impetus for conquest was to secure a southern balance of power needed to resist efforts to abolish slavery. It seems ironic and somehow just that peoples of Mexico are now finding their way back into those states, and more, in numbers that represent real political power.

You ought to see the osha rules on what age a kid can do what on a farm anymore, You risk loosing your own kids for child abuse for doing the things we done when we grew up.
Return to topic, theft over

To what end Art B? To recreate a corrupt country that, once again, cannot provide any opportunity for them? Gimme a break!

Buisnesses that hire illegals do so for cheap labor from people who dare not complain. It is NOT because those are jobs nobody else wants. It's just the people who could use those job have to be paid at least minimum wage. If an employer would go out of buisiness not having illegals, they need not be in the buisiness in the first place.

Re: immigrant protest

If you have a viable business model and you suck up billions of dollars from those who have no choice but to buy your product due to the stranglehold of an oligopoly, that's called capitalism. And we worship capitalism.

However, if you have a nonviable business model which requires to you act outside the law (ie: illegal immigrant/wages below the FEDERALLY MANDATED MINIMUM) than we just turn a blind eye and let you continue to post record prophets of your own.

In other words, the capitalistas will take your money anyway they can. If this requires price gouging or pay gouging, it makes no difference. You need the fuel and you need the work.

And if you say otherwise, well then you're nothing but a liberal communist wannabe. Right?

Boomyal says "To what end Art B? To recreate a corrupt country that, once again, cannot provide any opportunity for them? Gimme a break!"

I don't blame those who come to escape problems you mention. After all, A lot of our European ancestors came for the same reason. I don't want to make anissue of this. I was just pointing out another side.
