I think Teddy Roosevelt once addressed the immigration issue perfectly. He said something to the effect that for us (US Citizens) to refuse admission to our country of an immigrant coming here to better themself would be unacceptable and untrue to our values.<br /><br />He went further then and said that anyone coming to live in this country must be totally accepting to our country as his, we have room for only one flag, our language is English, we work to make America a better place and their main goal must be to become an US Citizen. Anything short of sole alliegance to our country, our flag, our language or our ethics is not acceptable.<br /><br />Now I have paraphased and certainly some of you might actually find the speech and better illustrate my efforts, but by and whole I agree with these thoughts. All others need to go home.
