impeller for force 85

Well I am hoping that someone here could help me figure out what impeller i need for a 85hp Force, and the cheapest place to get one online, I called boaters world and they want 90 bucks for the kit, now i was told that they are only about 20 bucks if you replace them yourself. Secondly, are they pretty easy to install? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello FDB. Sounds like the price quoted you was for a whole new water pump. You need to post the model number of your motor. There are two different impellers that fit a 85 HP force.

Because you need to remove the lower unit, it may or may not be the easiest thing in the world to complete the job. A repair manual would certainly help and you could look under SEARCH on this web site for more information. You will not need a water pump kit, but you will need some water pump SEALS, gaskets sold individually or as a water pump seal kit.
