Impeller problems!!!!!!!!!!!

I am changing the water pump on my Merc 225 promax, and what should not be too difficult has become a P.I.T.A.!! The impeller is stuck on the drive shaft. I have tried friendly persuasion and corrosion spray. Any one have any ideas?

Snook, We sometimes need to use a cold chistle and crack the brass hub of the impeller.
