You can find a cheap in-line filter at your local auto parts store. I use the clear plastic ones with a paper filter. Less than 6 bucks!

I purchased one at Autozone...but I was afraid to install it... I wasn't sure if I had to have a "special" filter ... I just purchased one that looked like it would fit.

I wood recommend a water/fuel seperator. It filters to 10 microns. They cost around 25-60.00 dollars depending on where you buy it. Helps a lot when using ethanol fuel.

You'll need to cut the line and slip the filter between the lines. It'll attach with 2 hose clamps.. Be sure the arrow is pointing the direction of the fuel flow. If you're unsure of the size of your fuel line and filter requirements, you can cut a small chunk of line and take it in to Autozone. It IS important that the filter is the correct size for the line you have. Also, be sure that the line is disconnected from the motor to relieve the pressure.:)

Thank you for the suggestion...I wasn't sure if these were considered fuel fiters.. meaning I didn't know if they did the same job as a fuel filter.
