I need to replace the 175/80-13 on my trailer. There doesn't seem to be a big selection of that size. What are my choices as far as sizes and where is the best place to get a good price on a set?

Thanks.

Unfortunately there are too many variables to your question, and more information is need. Type trailer (picture would be goos), do you want to change sizes, where do you live, just for a start.

Sorry about that...it's a Sea Nymph, and I'm in Central PA. Not really looking to change sizes, unless it will make it easier to find tires in the future.

No problem.

From the photo (nice rig) you really have no easy option on changing sizes. Therefore, the easiest way to find an answer is to google "discount 175/80-13 tires Pennsylvania" and follow the links. You should have no problem locating an outlet. Just remember to compare apples to apples and not just price.

In my area of Central Florida I have found a supplier that it's cheaper to buy the entire wheel/tire set from him than a tire alone from somewhere else. I found him in the Yellow Pages, course this was before the internet, and then there is always "craigslist", or even "e-bay", just be careful of the shipping costs.

Luck

well your looking at a $60-70 tire on new rim at a tractor supply if old rims are good i would find the nearest tire place bring it in and show them if not in stock 95% of the time they can and will order them most likely at no extra cost and it will be $10-15 cheaper. you cant really up to radials with that fender and you diffently dont want smaller unless you like lowriders. as for future replacements unless you blow a lot of tires they will last you 5-10 years if you take care of them. also please, cant stress this enough DO NOT BUY CHEAP look how many ply's your tires have and try to match that. they have tires same size and rating but a lower ply and those are cheap tires that will only cause you problems.

What ever you do DO NOT put on a "P" series tire, they do not have the side wall that an actual trailer tire has. If you can find a Good Year Marathon tire in that size it will be the best tire you'll buy.
Aside from that, I'm sure if you have a reputable tire shop in your town they should be able to set you up.

Good luck with finding a Goodyear Marathon. I don't think they exist in that size - I've looked. Definitely agree with the 'P' series comment above. You need an ST tire & radial is generally preferred anymore.

Thanks for the info everyone. Sounds like the Loadstars have a pretty good reputation. I put less than 500 miles a year on them, so they will probably dry rot before I wear them out.
