Couple of comments...<br /><br />#1 - I dont think Miller has read the responses, because he has not commented back yet.<br /><br />#2 He NEVER said I/O! He said inboard or outboard... if he was looking for a comparison between I/Os and outboards, he would have said that...<br /><br />Inboards are definitely easier to work on though...

I vote I/O.I can buy a brand new in the box 502 chevy engine,bolt it to my bravo 3 and push my 25 foot boat at close to 70 mph w/6 mpg for under 6000.00. My brother blew his yamaha 225,which gets almost 2 mpg and pushed his 22 ft boat at a whopping 52mph and he has to spend close to 15000.00 to replace it.

Hey Boatneck with the Hurricane<br />What dealer did you buy from? I bought from Ducky'sa in PA and I can't get any service out of them.<br />Guess I shoulda paid the extra price and gone to North Bay.<br />Interested in hearing your experience. I've been onboard a boat with twin Volvo's I/O when for some reason a fire started below deck. It blew up.<br /><br />Believe me: You wouldn't wish this for your worst enemy!<br /><br />I will never ever own a boat with inboard engine(s) unless it's a diesel.
