Have a 2003 Chaparral Open Bow in great shape. I have option to store in warehouse for $150 more than what it will cost to shrinkwrap and store in my yard on concrete pavers. Looking for advice - new to boating.

if you have the option to store your boat in the warehouse for 150 bucks more than what you would do other wise, by all means HECK YES DO IT

few reasons why i say that
- inside = 100% dry, no rain, no snow, no mildew
- keeps the boat out of the elements
- better for the finish and paint on your boat
- surely this warehouse is secure, no worries about someone trying to steal it
- if the warehouse is somewhat climate controlled (won't get below freezing)
then you don't have to bother with winterization!
- you can clean your boat all up for the winter inside and out, and come april
she's sparkling clean ready for her first voyage of the year

definitley worth the extra 150 (considering its about a 20,000 boat or somewhere in that neighborhood)

- i would simply do it just for the fact that its secure!
hope my input helped a little

If you have the extra $, why not. Make sure you still winterize the engine, even if the indoor storage is heated. For me, I like the piece of mind, seeing my boat all wrapped up, and in my view, even if it is all covered up.

Agree with the previous two posters - piece of mind indoors is well worth the 150 bucks IMO.

I agree with the exception of winterizing.Mama Nature can be mean sometimes.

not quite 150 - 150 more than the shrink rap - but still seems reasonable given boat is 22' plus trailer. Went to Gettysburg last year - loved every minute of it, incredible.
