Info on merc lower units

HI Guys
can anyone tell me if a lower end unit on a 1986 Merc 115 inline 6 is the same as a lower end on a mid to late 70s merc 150 inline 6. Like first of all will it bolt right on and are the gear ratio's the same. Thanks in advance

Both inline six motors will share gearcase and have same (2::1) gear ratio. Skegs will look different, but that is all.
