I recently purchased a 2001 Princecraft Ventura 190 deckboat and am wondering if anyone has any experience running wiring to the rear of the boat? I have installed a lot of transducers on fishing boats, but this is my first deck boat....

Install it inside the hull near the rear and in a big blob of air bubble free silicon. Easy !

Most thru hull transducers don't work on an aluminum hull boat...and there is no way to get to the inside of the hull..

Ah. Fair play. Didn’t realise it was Ally. Never had one and not a common thing at all here.

There's a set of shift cables, a steering cable, and a wiring harness all run together from the rear to the console on the right side of the boat. Just add a wire to those. If you are lucky, they left a string installed to allow you to pull another wire. If you find and use it, make sure you pull a new sting (rope) when you use the one that's there now.

Thanks will check that out and if there is no line, maybe I can push a vinyl fish tape thru...Someone installed a depth gauge so maybe the wiring for it's transducer can be used to pull a line back thru...learning more all the time about this boat...

I have 2 very similar boats at the moment. A 22' Lowe, and a 19' Grumman. The Grumman was just completely rebuilt (last summer's project boat). The only thing I used over again was the aluminum! The Lowe is in the middle of being repowered with a 90hp Honda (that's just been brought back to life). Obviously, I like these boats!
