So I got the carbs out and started to disassemble them.
I have not removed the main linkage through the throttle body with the butterfly valve, but did take everything else out except for my high speed jets...can't get at them and don't have the tool. They looked pretty gooey though, though I think they've cleaned up well.
I've sprayed out all the passages with carb cleaner spray and nothing was really too dirty as far as appearances went, but everything looks good now. For example, if I hold up the bowls to light I can clearly see light coming through the high speed jets, and it's a nice little circle of light. Looks pretty good. I've sprayed out everything else too.
Can I just blow out all the passages now and start to reassemble, of should I wash it out?
Are these two stroke carbs really as simple as they appear? I feel like I'm missing something.
