Intermediate Shaft? SOLVED!!!

I have an 86 Bayliner with a volvo 2.3L AQ131A. After a ton of trouble shooting I found that the intermediate (auxillary) shaft was not spinning, in this case that explains why the distributor, fuel pump, oil pump, and raw water pump did work. However, while looking at the pulley and the timing belt they all spin. Can anyone tell me the best answer as to why they do this? My guess what that the key or pin was sheared. Is there a bolt at the end of the shaft that holds the pulley in place, or does it just have that half moon shaped key? What would cause that pin to shear? I was just out on the lake for about four hours, running great and she quit. No real loud noises or anything can anyone help????

Re: Intermediate Shaft? SOLVED!!!

Turns out the bolt at the end of the shaft that holds the pulley in place was loose and almost ready to come out. This bolt was also causing the impeller not to spin. Now all I have to do is reset the timing. THanks to anyone who helped out in previous posts.
