Is a roller trailer okay?

You guys are welcome to your roller trailers. It would be a deal breaker for me. Loading and unloading is a breeze, even by myself, with my 270 Sundeck and a bunk trailer.

They make all different kinds of stuff, so everybody can be happy. If what you have makes you happy, then all is good.

If you have trouble launching with whatever you have, then chances are you are at a lousy ramp, your equipment is broken or you don't know what you're doing.

I do wonder, though, why some people continue to drive **** trucks and think they are good...

With a bunk trailer I’d be limited to launch in a very narrow window of 1-2 hrs + or - high tide. With wide swings in tide levels bunk trailers will really limit you here unless the ramp slope is steep. That’s why very few use them here. Use what works in your environment.

Yup, the brother in law did that. Off it went removing the transducers in a very efficient way. And damaging the gelcoat.

Wholly mackerel.....now that's my kind of trailer.....LOL.

My current trailer has self-lubricating roller bearings. When they turn they have a mild squeaking sound. When I push her off the sound is just awesome as the boat literally launches itself.

EZ Loader had the right idea eons ago. The problem is that their competitors cut back on the number of rollers to make their models cost competitive. Hence, boat bottom problems that gave the naysayers ammunition.

I never have to push boats off they roll off on their own if you grease between the roller axles & the rollers.

FWIW I launch with the boat transom/chines well above the water & retrieve with the rear trailer roller also above the water.

I prefer not to get my feet wet, or submerging the Car, when launching and loading,
