Is it hard to change the starter Solenoid on a mecr 470?

I have the Solenoid but as I look at the one on my boat I wonder about gettiing the old one off the bolt seems to be behind the Solenoid its self any tips or tricks to thiis

What year is it?
Are you talking about a slave type solenoid mounted away from the starter or the one that is mounted on the top of the starter?

Is the slave mounted away. Its bolted to the engine its self.

You should have a solenoid that looks like the one below. There should be 2 bolts in the mounting feet of the solenoid (top holes in picture). Usually a universal socket, open end wrench, or crowsfoot wrench will get into them without too much difficulty.

Thanks I was able to get it fixed today 1/4 inch drive and 10 min and its all fixed
