I am looking at cleaning the idle jets on my 93 Yammy 115. Am I looking at the correct plugs and is there any harm in removing them, cleaning them and replacing them? Any tricks? I thought that this might be the cause of my idle cough (miss) because at revs it runs beautifully.

Cheers mate

Re: Is the little brass plug the idle jet

hello
the idle fuel jets are in the fuel bowl. remove the fuel bowl turn it over and remove the 2 slotted plugs. inside there is two tiny jets one on each side, if the carbs are not super gummy it may be possible to use a can of carb cleaner and just spray them out.
I think your problem is going to be more of a water and trash problem rather than gum and varnish.
good luck and keep posting
