Is there any difference between blue/brown band?

Are there any differences between brown band, blue band, red band, etc?

Just interested, i assume its not just aesthestics.

The color of the band represents which power band was installed at the factory. This can of course be misleading because sometimes owners will change the powerband and not change the actual color on the casing.

I used to always get the brown band engines (lowest power band) and then install the red power band and go racing everybody that I could.
