Is this a 1978 Lowe 16' Jumbo V ?

Hello All,
Just joined and I already have some questions. I just purchased a 1978 Lowe boat in fantastic condition from the original owner and I have been looking for a way to find out just what I have. The model number is 16075M and then a 78H16J. I wanted to know if someone out there can tell me what all of this means or where I can check it out because I have looked everywhere I can think of. Also what size transoms came on the boat because I need to find a motor for it and it is rated for up to 40 HP.

Welcome aboard Wooz. THESE guys are probably the best place to track down some of that information.

I'm not sure what you're asking about the transom and O/B.

Your tape measure will tell you what size transom you have and if you need to look for long or short shaft outboard.

I found out today that the boat is a Lowe 16' Jumbo V6.
