Is this normal for water to be coming out?

Is it normal for water to be coming from here when running my engine on the water hose?

For what little I know, this is not good. You must have a complete seal between the lower and upper. If not, your water pump will not cool properly.

Not at all. You need ta pull ta gearcase. Check water pump assy., plastic guide tube, copper tube and seal at tha top where tha copper tube seats. Probably gettin' very little, if any, water to tha motor................There is no "seal" between tha case and tha downhousing. Just machined mating surfaces........Looks ta be comin' more outta tha motor mount area, but ya need ta find it NOW............

Replaced the impeller and housing and all gaskets.inspected long tube.It is still doing it.I am getting a small amount of pee.
If the poppet valve sticks open could it caise this?

Remove that plastic cover and check to see if the 5/16 mounting bolts are still there. If missing it will leak water thru them and out cover or if a salty dog it could have a hole corroded thru. That is a closed casting from factory and only way water to leak out is bolts missing,hole or loose mount has worn a hole. I would check to see if water tube seal in upper mounting plate was not rolled and blocking hole and water tube is one piece and not soldered or coupled.

Have also seen tha copper tube with a split/crack (whatever ya wanna call it) in it near tha adapter plate.....
