I have had my boat for a little over two years now. (Boat in avitar), I have had an ongoing problem with the engine running strangly all that time without being able to fix it untill this spring! Because of the problem, I could always find something I didnt like about the boat and thought about selling it and getting a different one, really wasnt happy with it. Well, now that I have it running right, I like it better and better all the time, I find myself fixing things and have decided to keep it this year anyway. Funny how a problem will make you not see the bigger picture about something!

Because this thread wasnt about what the problem was I wont go into it in detail, but the engine wouldnt take the fuel when you pushed the throtle down slowly. It would die coming down off plane, and would sneeze and cough at Idle and sometimes die. I really think that the problem was worn reedblocks and possably a bad intake gasket or a combination of both.
