I turned the channel to TCM. High Noon, 1952, Gary Cooper, Grace Kelly and Lloyd Bridges. (anyone remember sea hunt) ?
I searched high and low a few years ago and found "It's a Wonderful Life." in it's intended form, black and white, on DVD. Now we watch that every couple of years and without commercials along with "A Christmas Story."Ok, how many remember the name of Sky King's plane and how about the 10 cent Saturday movies for kids. Buck Roger serials and Roy Rogers and don't forget Tarzan. Those days we would go out side when we got home and pretend we were those characters. (You know, the dark ages)
My all time favorite, and I sure wish we had about 200 men and women like his character today was Mr. Smith goes to Washington. I just can't think of a film Jimmy Stewart was in that wasn't great. Many will say It's a wonderfull life but I guess after seeing it for the 500th time it's starting to wear a little thin.
I just hate that they have so many commercials as opposed to 10 years or so ago.
Luck
