Not sure I see what you mean, as far as I'm concerned, they paid me!
Is this a trick question? :) Which came first the Senator or the Chicken?
Sorry for the confusion.
What part of advertiser don't you understand? The Poducer pays the Advertiser to sell his product. Whether you buy or don't the advertiser gets paid. When you sent those labels in the Producer said hey, this is working. If you had taken those ads and thrown them where they so richly deserved the Producer might not have been mislead. In the case of Rushing Limpbough, he is selling people in return for time and money compensation. In simplistic terms, the more people listen the more he gets paid. Now, whether those listening are buying a product or would not buy it because it is being advertised on Limpboughs' show is academic. Nothing succeeds like success.....
I guess we are saying the same thing. It was stupid of them to send you a worthless plack becuause as worthless as it was it was still worth more than they (the producer) got from you. I guess the USPostoffice was the other benificery (the other being the advertising agency, magazine, newspaper, etc)in this relationship.
Now, what is the difference between Tennesse Straight Whiskey and Kentucky Bourbon. :D
PS: I am sure you took no pleasure in taking something under false pretense. ;) :nudge:

Ok JB, thats what I thought.....

Now for the second part of your quote. I agree. Price to me makes the biggest difference. Why pay $50+ for jack when I could pay $14 for Kesslers when I am just going to mix it with soda anyways. Not to say that taste isnt important, its all in how I plan to use the Whiskey. I drink Whiskey more than any other liquor.

1. For mixing with coke I'll usually go with Jack if I have any, or the much much much cheaper Kesslers.

2.For sipping I go with Black Velvet.....smoother than any other I have ever had. Hmmmm good.

Kentucky has "Bourbon", as far as I know Bourbon can only be labeled 'bourbon' if it is made in Kentucky .....Tennessee has "Sippin' Whisky".....JK

Bourbon is Kentucky. And I'm from Bourbon County.

I drink Evan Williams or anything that says Kentucky and Bourbon on the same bottle. Bourbon was dicovered by accident. The barrel planks used was overheated during a the bending process and scorched. The result during the aging was a change to a carmal color and a distinct smoother and mellow flavor.

I dont buy Jack as I am Bias. While I dont have a bottle in front of me, I dont know if it says bourbon or not. If it doesnt, then I apoligize to all those I have affended over the years in various argument over the who maKES THE BEST BOURBON..

Sour mash is bourbon also.....just made with soured malt or mash...

I know I have read the brochures in the mag about the Jack process......sounds to me like there making Bourbon.

Another note, why does a bar tender ask if want Jack D. when you ask for a Bourbon and Coke?....Ok now I better go google and check myself.

edit Jack D.

Quote:
Whiskey Fact #1
Charcoal Mellowing is what makes Jack Daniel's a smooth sippin' Tennessee Whiskey instead of a bourbon. Learn more.

Ok, I'm getting the picture here....anyone else?

I would but it would take all of the fun out of lifes many pleasures that we all get such as driving our new cars that we bought last week at the Dodge dealer who was so much cheaper than the import dealers who seem to support terrerism and the are against the war in Iraq which GWB should have never entered but he had to because he really wanted to play army man like GI Joe, the same ones my kids play with at school which they get into trouble with because the liberals wont let the parents be parents they want the schools to do it and the schools can't because the teachers are soooo underpaid and can barely afford to drive a new car so its a good thing we went to war so we could afford gas in our American made cars or I guess I should say Suburbans cause everybody knows teachers are usually soccer moms in disguise.

Just thought I would try it out for a change. Gawd I love this site.

I can do the water or ice, but I prefer to put about 2 parts bourbon and 1 part grapefruit juice. I call it a my red-neck margarita. I like em sour and less sweet.

Ron -

From what I understand, Lynchburg, TN, where JD is made, is a dry county - can't buy alcohol there. That's funny to me. :)

Aren't you headed up this way soon?
