jack plate for a 9.9 motor

i was wondering will a jack plate raise the motor enough to use my 9.9 long shaft on a 15" transom? if it will it will have to be cheaper than converting the lower unit to a short shaft.

measure from the bottom of the hull to the top of the cavitation plate, see how much movement you need.

Make your own and save a bunch !! Won't take much for a 9.9 hp.
