icacos<br /><br />I ran your serial number on the Merc Net computer at work and there is no history archived. The serial number is good and does come up in the online parts catalog, but with no model year.<br /><br />In the early years, up into the late 80s I believe, Mariner was not sold by model year. It was a current year engine when it was sold rather than when it was manufactured. In the printed Merc year/model/serial number book I found your serial number falling into a span of many years.
