He does not want to be renamed.

yah .. is there a way to change the postings so that no one else can have the anceint mariner.. i feel bad taking it away from td cuz he does deserve it.. but jb picked it for a reason i think because hes done so much only he can have it.. maybe we can find one for td too. just his own. the two top dogs of this forum.. but than change it so that no one can get ancient mariner or tds choice. and come up with one that we can get wehn we hit that many posts..

Take it out of the ranking system and then give it JB only.
That would take care of that.
Supreme Mariner would be as high as you could go.

YA exactly.. i just didnt know if they can do that.. but we would need one for td to tho . but we can just let him pick his own. those two will be theonly ones with their own ranks

just saw this thread.....

a little while ago....we had a "thanks mods" thread......

due to my compleat ignorance of where it came from, how it came about and why it was there...
i posted a comment about the title "ancient".....

a huge "white elephant" began sauntering thru the thread...

jb himself....then replyed and told me the story......wow...did i feel like a heel ! i apoligised in open forum...but i think the taste of my foot is still in my mouth

in jbs modesty and wisdom.....he does not like titles that reflect, superiority or other.
he picked the name....

but....in honor of his devotion to helping people.....how about adding a small somthing to his banner, that says somthing like..."voted long time friend of boaters"

or friend of people.......somthing individually JB !


just somthing that would not embarrass him....
