How about addressing the pros and cons of jet outboards.
How do they handle?
How relailable?
I only know that 50/35 means 50 is the power heard and 35 is the true horsepower.
all information would be appreciated.

Re: Jet Motors

ajohnson...what is it you want to know...a jet outboard is as reliable as the motor it hangs on...works very well in waters that eat props...likes gasoline a lot...makes more noise, you have to rev higher...does not steer boat well at idle speeds...kinda like a 4x4 pickup, can get you into places that are hard to get out of...I use mine in some fast moving rivers that are inaccessable in other types of watercraft. If you are looking at buying a jet outboard you really need to know that they are not very efficient on big water, and they cavitate easily...great on small water where you have limited ground clearance. If you have a specific question maybe somebody will have an answer for you...just a Thought
