Johnson 120HP V4

I am looking at a 19ft center console to buy with 1991 Johnson 120Hp V4. My question is what is the pros and cons with this engine.I have never owned a boat with a johnson engine i've only had Mercs. I am going to do a compression test on engine what should the psi be on it.Thanks in advance for your info.

There is no "magic number". Values within 10% and > 100 psig are fine. I had a '85 140 (same block) and typically got ~ 140 psig all aqround, but there is no published value.
