i checked my spark on j140tlcte . the spark on all is really skinny it jumps 3/8 " but not 7/16 so good . top end runs good out of hole has about 3 little tics like a miss what if anything would u suggest i do or check thank you for any replies.

Definitely comp.check 1st. Even though that has nothing to do with spark.

Then I would verify that I am getting ~300 rpm ctanking from starter. Make a mark and count real fast lol. A decent tach adaptor for your multimeter or a finely tuned ear. Starters are easy to take apart, clean and inspect.

Then it's off to cdielectronics.com for the trouble shooting guide.

But if there is no real issue yet....

thanks Jakedaawg for advice. the one thing i noticed when putting boat on trailer if i push the throttle too far it like boggs out. trying to push the boat the last foot or so . other boats i watched rev up and keep pushing. anyway it dosent keep me from fishing just worry bout a lean condition. dont think that is the case my plugs are always wet when i take them out. thanks again for your help.:joyous:
