i have a j140tlcte , afriend gave me a timer sensor pt# 583127 to try, mine is pt#583376 can someone tell me if it will work also i have had the stator out not to hard to do is the timer very difficult , do i need special tools thanks for your help.:confused:

I doubt it, you might end up frying your powerpack or putting the engine into a badly timed situation.
What motor did his come off?
No changing its easy, removing the flywheel is probably the hardest part so you have already done that before

no special tools apart from flywheel puller to remove that, just make sure you install it how the prior one is, grease it up a bit so it turns freely

:sorry: sorry guys im trying to catch up on post i didnt answer:redface-new: Bosunsmate, thanks for your help again, i did some part # research and found that part # superseeded to my part # put it on boat so far working good. mookieo2 i would be interested, however i dont know how to pm and im in ky shipping would be expensive thank you very much sorry again for the late come back.:facepalm:
