Johnson 30HP: Gearbox Oil leak

I have repaired the water pump, but now when testing the engine and checking the water pump ok suddenly oil is leaking out of the little drain hole above the cavitation plate.<br />Is one of the two shaft seals leaking, but why ?<br />I never had such a problem before.<br />Is it possible I damaged the inner shaft seal during the repair, when pulling out the shaft a little bit out of the case ?

mine does that to for a little while after the motor is turned of they tell me it is unused fuel travelling down from the exhaust . Iam goimg to the mechanics though tomorrow i will ask him asweel for me and you

Just exhaust and unburnt fuel. Probably a lot built up in there when the water pump wasn't working right and now your just flushing it all out. Check the LU fluid and if it is full and not milky your good.
