Johnson 40 HP charging issue

I have a Johnson 40 HP outboard and I can't find +12 on any wire to charge the battery

Model: RDSL-28B
Serial: J2684871

I could not identify what wires I should be testing off the schematics I saw.

So first question is what wires should I be testing? From there, I can start tracing to the problem. This is a new motor for me (runs great) - so all the wires were disconnected when I got it. (to battery etc.)

Does it have the belt driven 10 amp generator ?

ugh. Thanks. I took a look and no. Explains why I could not find a regulator.

The belt driven generator was standard on the electric shift models.----Optional on electric start models.-----Your location ?---Used item may be easy to find in Canada.
