Yeah, tear the lever apart before you try to adjust the cable... Makes sense...

I think cable adjustment as Rick suggested would be the better place to start. You can pull the casing guide tighter than a rubber band and get almost no movement with the warm up lever.

Just my $.02.

And I think it's counter clockwise on the trunion nut for more travel.... ;)

Hi like rodbolt answered
"if you lift the warm up lever and it does not feel like its attached"
When I lift the warm up lever you feel that nothing is attached it do nothing, the problem is not in the rod calibration in the motor ,because the main lever works fine.Yes is the "side mounted OMC control box
Now how I open the control I cant find a way I removed the 2 screws with nuts that mount the control on the side of the boat, and the three that joins the control, but I cannot open it.
Please if it is easy to write with details the procedure. Rodbolt I think is correct, like something is loose in the control lifting the warm up lever you think is not attached anywhere.
Thank you all
First you have to remove the handle. Look at the back of the control and you will see and allen head screw. Losen the screw about two turns. Then, with a punch, tap the screw toward the handle. This will release the handle splines with the drive splines. Finish removing the allen head screw. Remove the three screws holding the control box halves together and the control box will split open.

The above is best performed with the control box laying flat, supported by a couple blocks.
