For the first 10 hours of use, run at a ratio of 25:1 Mixture using TCW-3 oil or better. After that, run a 50:1 mixture. If it has never been run, you will need to break in the engine. This means that during the first 10 minutes, just let it idle in neutral and make sure the water pump is working. The next hour should not be run above half throttle or 3500 RPM's. Do not hold a constant speed. Change engine speed every 15 Minutes. The second hour, you can use full throttle to get on plane and then reduce throttle to 3/4. Be sure the boat stays on plane. Occasionally apply full throttle in short bursts. Once again, change engine speed every 15 Minutes. For the next 8 hours, avoid continuous full throttle operation for extended periods. Again, vary your speed every 15 Minutes. After break-in, re-torque the cylinder head bolts to specs after cool down.
