Ok, here is the deal:

I have a 1975 75hp Johnson Seahorse outboard. It runs great but the other day I noticed something a little differnt with the exhaust relief ports. First off, It is peeing a perfect steady stream. I took it to the lake the other day after getting the carbs completly rebuilt and it ran like a dream. I decided to do a little knee boarding and after about 4 times of knee boarding, I shut the engine off and it wouldn't crank back up. I tried several times for a couple of minutes and it just turned and turned but wouldn't start. The fuel is perfect with a complete new fuel system. Firing is great with new ignition system. I used the trolling motor to get back to the ramp. I brought it home and the next morning I hooked the hose to it. Cranked up fine and purred like a kitten. I noticed that a lot more water is coming out of the exhaust ports just under the head of the engine. This is my concern. So I took it back to the lake yesterday and it ran perfect. Ran about six gallons thru it and decided to knee board again. Worked perfect. After the fifth go round I noticed exhaust fumes and water blurping out more than usual out of the exhaust ports so I cut it off. Keep in mind it is not running hot and alarm is not sounding and it is peeing a perfect stream. I shut it off just in case and again it did not crank back up. I took the cowling off and the engine felt warmish hot but not HOT. I let it sit about five minutes this time and after two tries it cranked up and purred like a kitten. It wasn't blurping out water or exhaust from exhaust ports and everything seems normal. Ran about another 5 gallons thru it and it ran perfect. As long as I am not knee boarding or tubing the exhaust ports are perfect with little or no water or exhaust exiting from it, but when kneeboarding and sitting just after kneeboarding water and exhaust fumes are blurping out like crazy. So is this an indication that I might have water pump or impeller issues or what. The motor is plenty strong enough to tow and tube behind but I don't want to ruin my motor by not paying attention to obvious mechanical signs that I am not picking up on. Please advise. Thank you in advance for your help.
