Johnson 9.9 2 stroke lower unit on 4-stroke motor

Hey all, I was wondering if a 9.9 lower unit from a two stroke Johnson would fit on the motor of a 4-stroke Johnson. I have a 2005 9.9 four stroke Johnson that has a bad lower unit prop shaft assembly. The prop shaft itself is bent the prop is broken and a few other parts are bad. I found a lower unit for a 2005 9.9 2 stroke Johnson and I was wondering if it would be a direct bolt up or if it doesn't directly bolt up if the prop shaft assembly would swap over. Thanks for any help

That would work on earlier 4 strokes.------But I believe your 2005 model 4 stroke is in fact SUZUKI built and the Johnson 2 stroke will not fit that !!

Turns out my 4 stroke is actually a 2003. Got the model number and tried to cross check part numbers and none match. Thanks

As stated clearly I believe.---------This type of swap would only work for the early JOHNSON / EVINRUDE 4 strokes up to 2000 model year.------------You also had to swap out the driveshaft and shift rod.------------It will not work at all with the SUZUKI built 4 strokes !!!
