Does anyone make a good quality fuel line connector for single line systems? All the stores around here just have the Atwood brand. Bought those and they wouldn't lock in on the motor without bending the clip. And then it sat at an angle and dripped. Had 2 do that. Did the same when at the tank end.

Alternately has anyone just permanently connected the hose to the motor at the fuel pump?

Re: Johnson Hose connectors

I did some looking and found listings for OMC and Sierra. So going through the OMC line of part number supersecion it starts with 0174508 which was repalced with 0176745, which was repalced with 0775640. Iboats came back with the Sierra equivelant as the only available (showing OMC as discontinued). ********** shows it good for 2004 and newer (mine is an 89 48SPL). Marineengine shows it as a current OMC part and available and $4.61

So I guess i got with MarineEngine.

Just another vote for OEM fuel connectors when you can get them. I have had nothing but problems w/ aftermarket connectors for my new Merc kicker- and no problems once I went to the dealer and bought a couple of OEM. The are definitely a different and stronger design. Yea they cost a little more, but is $5 really a decision factor w/ a boat?
