Johnson-is it a 50 or 60hp engine?

I have an engine with a painted cover that was said to be a 50hp, but I have seen a 60 hp that looks very similar. my model# is 50ESL71 S, and has 2 cylinders. Any answers? Thanks.

Hi Mr Compaq,<br /><br />This should be in Johnson/Evinrude and I'm sure JB'll shift it for you.<br /><br />In the meantime, if the model number is 50ESL71, then it is a 50 hp. The reason it looks like your old 60 is because the only difference between them is the carbs.<br /><br />Chris..........
