It's really difficult to respond to this thread. No pictures and no indication of the year/hp you have.

That engine looks a lot like a 1988 300 hp V8. It's got power steering, which was standard on that engine. If you can locate the model number from the serial plate, it will indicate the hp and year.

Here are some pics (hopefully these work this time). I can't find the tag on the transom. I did find the one circular ID tag just above the V6 logo on the engine. The number on it is G2343795. I would basically like to know information on the engine that could be provided and if there is something worth pulling to sell or do I just scrap the engine ?

The G2343795 number is "not found" in the Bombardier serial number database.

I pulled the carbs and will check the size. What is any of this worth? I'm scrapping the whole thing next weekend. I'm not sure what year it is.

It's a 90 degree looper. Carb versions were made from 1986 up through 2001, the last year they were built as Johnsons. Solid engines at the time. The cowling is maybe not a stock OMC offering. Possible it was supplied by the old Land "N Sea associate of OMC-called "Second Effort." That was their high performance ally during that time. If there were any other Land "N Sea high performance parts on that engine, that would make it pretty unusual. Maybe one of the looper experts can comment.. What does the lower unit look like? Low water pickup?

Looks to be a 25" midsection. Some of the value here would be in the cowling. Would be helpful to know if this was a 200 or 225 hp version and year. Some of these heads were higher in compression-depending on year. Do you have the lower unit?

I have the lower case and shaft but that is about all as far as the lower unit goes. Ive looked for a tag on it and can't find anything to determine what size the carbs could be and what the HP is. The only place the tag could be would be where the stand is covering. I can measure the carbs

I've pulled the carbs and can pull the heads. What parts of the cowel if any would be worth pulling? Im taking the rest to scrap, its in my way now.

Its a pre 1990 (lower cowling and old style trim) 25' inch with power steering,200/225 powerhead (difference is carbs) and factory lightweight cowling. The cowling will bring about $100 over on Scream&Fly and the rest above $250-400 to right person.
