johnson lu question

i have a johnson 50 hp 86 model can the reverse clutch dog and maybe the reverse gear be replaced without taking pinion and forward gear out

Pinion gear must come off.------The propshaft must come out.----No shortcuts to this job.

thanks racerone for the quick reply i was afraid of that. probably be better to clean everything and put new seals anyway. thanks again for your help
