Hi I hope someone can help with my prop. The motor is a 1981 Johnson Seahorse 75 and I have been trying to read the numbers on the prop, can you please help? It says Michigan Wheel 011003 then 13.25X1/ the last digit is difficult to read but it looks like a forward slash but could also be a seven or a four. Is this considered high or low geared for my 14ft marina. Thanks, Martin.

bigoldboy1

MI 011003 = 13-1/4" X 17" Pitch

That should be close to what you need. You really need to use a Tach. to find your WOT RPM's to be sure you are in the correct range. The 17" pitch would be on the low side range that you would want for your size boat. Try to shoot for 5500-6000 RPM's at full throttle with a normal load in the boat.

Re: Johnson prop size?

Hi Rick. Thanks a lot for your response to my querie. I don,t have a tacho on my boat so I shall have to sort one out. At present the boat does seem to struggle to pull a skier up even on two skis so I am hoping to improve that one way or another.
