50 to one will get the motor mad at you, it will start screeching and force you to row back and replace its powerhead ...

its a quart to six gallons, right gang?

my math sez so anyway

Addendum:

If you are using it as a troller, low rpm ONLY, 50 to 1 would be ok, some guys run two tanks (newer 50 -1 motors troll at 100 -1, but thats fresh water guys for ya!)

I have the motor on a 10' inflatable...my 12 year old son does not know the meaning of trolling and enjoying nature....I think its best I try the 24:1 or 25:1 mix....I will let you know the outcome...I'm sure it will run better....
Thanks for the info...

So what was the outcome? I have a 12ft inflatable with a 3HP, and don't know the oil/gas ratio, have been using 25:1 and 50:1 sometimes... any advice?
