I'm repowering from a 86 110 johnson to a 98 yamaha 115. I bought a boat with the 115 in order to get the motor. My question is the boat has a 703 control box. I'm needing a flush mount control so I don't thint it will work. I'm not sure if its a 10 or 7 pin motor harness, but I think its about 16 feet long. I am putting this on a pontoon boat so I don't think it will be long enough. Is there a extension? Will that harness from the 703 work with a flush mount? The motor is mix your own gas so the only gauge I need is a tach and the alarm for temp. The old boat has a tach so I'm going to use it. How would I hook up the alarm? Basically I am trying to figure out what I need from key switch to harness to hook up this motor. If someone is interested in the 703 control box I would consider selling or trading it.
