In Bush's first 4yrs 201 confirmed.<br />In Clinton first 4yrs 200 confirmed.<br />At that rate Bush will have as many as Clinton, probably more with the Republican control of congress. And I don't know the answer, but I'll bet Bush has very little if any Judges "bottled up in committee" with the Republican control of congress.

If you can't win.. cheat. then ratioanlize. I guess that the unprecedented use of the fillibuster to block nominees is really on par with a majority that used the will of the voters to allow them to bottle up candidates. Yea.. really the same. I am not a fan of bottling these nominees in the first place as I beleive the senate has a duty to vote up or down regardless. However, I do not buy your moral equivalency argument. <br /><br />As for this candidtate, every one seems to shout with incredulity that he voted in past pro-life. To me this should not be so amazing. A woman has reproductive rights. the right to say no. She does not have the right to murder. There are women in this world that do not have reproductive rights. These are the women in the middle east who have no rights and are routinely physically and sexually abused. they can't say no.<br /><br />To call it pro choice is pretty name on a nasty topic. It is pro abortion. Like huggy bear said "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time"..<br /><br />To complete the trifecta, I pray for all those who do not see this themselves..

Rogerwa, I think that any and all action should be taken to prevent any nominee who has even a remote chance of overturning Rowe v. Wade getting into the supreme court.....JK

Can you live with 40+ MILLION killed by a chice of "convenience"-with NO say in the matter?

Though some may believe it unthinkable, the 40 million + ( or whatever # you want) unborn babies were unwanted by their would be mothers....We will never see or accept each others point of view. You have a right to your opinion, so do I....'Nuff said....JK

Both my sisters are incapable of having children and deperately want to do so.. Its hard to throw a precious gift away when others would do almost anything for that gift.

lets pull down and dust off the old abortion issue. The Republicans have won many elections by bringing abortion into the fold.<br />I don't think the Repubs in power want to overturn Roe V Wade. I think they just want to use it as a weapon to bludgeon the Dems over the head with, put it on the shelf and bring it out for the next election.
