July 1st CANADA DAY

Well this thursday is Canada day.
How many people are off to the lake for a little R+R, or stay off the lake and avoid the crazies???

I am doing both

I will be at the marina the day before and maybe do a little cruising. By the afternoon I will be back at the marina to do some work on my boat and watch the commotion

Fortunately working on Canada day and taking Friday off instead. Gives us a jump start to us going to the cottage for our week and a half (or so depending on the weather!!!)
Leaving Thursday evening after work.

Oh yeah baby!! it's going to be great!
Might do some early morning fly fishing then get some buddies together for some softball and a bbq.
Or...if things change...and no softball, then grab a couple of the buds and head out on the lake for a bit of a hoot.

Work Thursday and off on Friday. Only got one to say the springs are running and just had a feed of crab. Bring it on.

It is 5:50 AM on tuesday, by 8:00AM the fifth wheel will be hooked to the truck the boat hooked to the fifth wheel and we will be on our way to Elkwater till Sunday. The weather forecast is not the best, but even if we can get one or two days on the water in I will be a happy camper!!!

Fishing, Camping, Gardening, Working on the house. (Not necessarily in that order, the 'honey do' list is pretty long!)

We go to my sister's place for her annual bbq. Then I have a doc appointment Friday morning, but hopefully will be out on the river with both engines running at optimum performance.
The wife has to be at work Monday....argh!

i intend on being on the water for the fireworks and the pandimonium.......its tradition that i open a bottle of champaign on the water under the fireworks !

the weather has been inconsistant here and the wind has been a major factor....

two years ago a squall came up on the okanagan lake during the fireworks and two hundred boats scrambled for the far shore all at the same time.... .

hope its better this year....but im gonna be on the water for sure.

On the water for Canada Day . For the past three years we have been helping out by pulling kids on a tube behind our sea-doo at the park during our local Canada Day Celebrations. It's great to see some of the kids that have never been on the water get a chance to go tubing or riding .
