What do all the numbers and letters mean?

Previous own said they put gas in the VRO container.
Right now the mixture smells like varnish.

**** The engine did not seize.****

The cylinders are slightly scored hoping only a cylinder honing may fix it and replace the rings.

Question: if the motor was starved of oil should the pistons have to be changed as well??

This is very fancy motor compared to my two 1963 20 horse units.

I was hoping for engine breakdown on a website as i found for my old 63s but I guess an manual is in order for this unit.

First off you'll need a manual to do the work. Second- shop2.evinrude.com will show you a break down. In order to determine if the pistons need replacing the book will tell you the measurements you'll need in order to reuse the pistons. You may get away with a hone job but again- everything needs to be measured in order to determine all the what if's.
