I've always used the gear oil and fuel oil available at Wally world (usually Pennzoil brand, I think), and I've never had a problem with it and it's usually a fair price. BE sure you get one of the little hand pumps they sell right next to the gear oil. It should have a little, plastic adapter that screws into the DRAIN, flat head screw. You then pump in the gear oil until you see it come out of the upper VENT hole. You then replace the VENT screw, and remove the pump from the lower DRAIN hole and quickly replace the DRAIN screw. You'll have a little oil ooze out, but that's ok. You can top it off using the VENT hole, if you want, but you probably won't have to. Here's a link to a vid that can walk you through the whole job.
