I changed to a new SS prop that takes the interchangeable hub and now I have a vibration.

Just to make sure, the interchangeable hub is installed by putting the square piece in the prop cavity, putting the thrust washer on the prop shaft, putting the insert part that has the splines in it in the square part then sliding it all onto the prop shaft and putting the prop nut on. Right???

I dont need the washer thing that is used on regular hub props that goes after you put the prop on and before the prop nut?

Ayuh,... That's Correct,... The hardware follows the Prop, Not the drive...

I didn't even see it before but last night I saw a little bold line at the bottom of the instructions for the hub kit.

It says "the prop is correctly installed when it is locked between the fore and aft washer"

So the thrust washer is one but what is the other?

Im about to get on the phone with the prop people.

Give the prop a wiggle, if it's not snug on the shaft check the prop nut torque and check the thrust washer. If it's inverted the prop might wiggle. The thrust washer has a flat side with a step on the edge, that side faces aft.
On my Michigan Wheel interchangeable hub there are all the items you mentioned, and there is a hexagonal tab washer with 6 tabs, the prop nut sits inside the washer and turns with the washer as it is tightened. The instructions say to block the prop with a 2 x 4 against the side of the drive as you tighten it down. Once you have the nut snugged down against the hub & bushing with about 50 ft lbs of force, 3 of the tabs are bent into the stops on the aft end of the bronze inner bushing. This is what keeps everything in place.

Also make sure there is grease on the propshaft splines.

If all that is right take it apart, turn everything to a different angle and reinstall, water test. If it still doesn't work find the hub instructions, they say it better than I did. A new prop isn't very likely to be bad.
