Keel Tube for 89 Zodiac Mk1 Futura FGT Type 1319 11'6" legth

Last Summer the keel tube blew out at the crimped/welded seam in front - the seam is folded over several times. A replacement tube is not to be found and would have to be manufactured by ZODIAC.
Question: does anyone have a tube? - With all the keel tubes used on Zodiacs there should be something that fits.
The repair shop has a tube that is too long - I am thinking that we could shorten it by pulling it inside and gluing a patch around the end to keep it from coming undone.

Q: any experience with re welding/gluing the front seam?
Q: any experience with shortening a tube?

The complete sib is repairable, only need skilled people to do the job well, you can shorten the keel to match existing keel, just cut to same size, glue end & glue complete keel ontop floor fabric on same previous position.
